February 23, 2025 | 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Good Food Sundays, Mandala Park
---------------------------------

Did you know that cruciferous vegetables are among the best cancer-fighting foods easily available?

Studies show that our brassica buddies are rich in the phytochemical sulforaphane, which is being studied for its ability to regulate oxidative stress and inflammation in cells, the primary mechanism behind its anticancerogenic and antidiabetic effects.

For our first Food as Medicine workshop, we will be joined by Dr. Charles Jeffrey Tan, a young oncologist based in Quezon City with a keen interest in Gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Charles believes in the power of communities to create inclusive spaces and expand access to food, transportation, and healthcare.

Dr. Tan will be joined by our teammate Mabi, a stage 1 ovarian cancer survivor who likes to eat in a way that gives her body a chance to heal and reduces the risk of a future recurrence; and Joyce who will show us delicious ways to add the powerhouse vegetables into our daily diet.

Reserve your slots now to enjoy the early bird rate. All reservations settled after February 20 are at the full rate of PhP 1,200.
